Valerie Cruz is an American actress best known for her role as Lieutenant Connie Murphy in the dark urban fantasy series The Dresden Files.
Biography[]
Cruz was born on July 18, 1976, in Elizabeth, New Jersey. The name of Cruz's parents are not known, as is why she wanted to be an actress. What is known is that Cruz graduated from Florida State University. Cruz got her first on-screen role in 2002, when she was cast as Almira for one episode of the medical drama series Strong Medicine. Cruz got her first major role a year later, when she was cast as Grace Santiago, the staff psychologist for MacNamara/Troy, for 12 episodes of the serial medical drama series Nip/Tuck. Cruz has also appeared in TV shows and movies such as Alphas, Chicago Justice, Quantico, Dexter, Cellular, LA Blues, Inconceivable, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Dollhouse, Homeland, The Rookie, The Dresden Files, and Criminal Minds.
