Hi everybody. This post is in relation to one of our pages here and we need a vote to resolve this issue.

Recently, we renamed our page PTSD to PTSS after it was referred to as such in the thirteenth season's premiere by Alvez. Today, a user brought to my attention that in the real world, there may be no such thing as Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome and Disorder is still the accepted term. Now I found this definition minutes ago that goes against this claim. It comes from the website of an specialist organization. I will include it below. We need to decide which version to use in our page and this decision is too much to give any one person, even an admin, the power to decide. So we will have a vote as to what to do. I will allow 4 days before counting the votes to give everyone a fair chance at having their say.

Here is the definition:

Definition PTSS/PTSD

Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome (PTSS) is the name given to the symptoms that are experienced after a traumatic event. These symptoms can also be delayed and appear from up to 3 months after the event, to some forty years or more post-trauma (after the traumatic event).  Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is (in essence) the same thing, except psychiatry prefers to differentiate between symptoms and the fully activated disorder.

While I do have my own opinion on this matter, in the interest of being unbiased and impartial, I won't be counting my vote in the overall tally. I will only be counting yours. Don't be afraid to answer however you wish. Please comment your opinion below and help to resolve this issue as a community and a team. Thank you,

Reese
