Harold Thomas "Tom" Wright is an American actor.


Wright was born on November 29, 1952, in Englewood, New Jersey. At some point in his life, he developed an interest for acting and decided to pursue it as a career. Wright began his acting career as an original member of The People's Light and Theater Company, located outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He also spent four years at the National Playwrights Conference as well as two summers at the Sundance Institute. Some notable theaters Wright worked for include the American Place Theater, Manhattan Theater Club, New York Theater Workshop, Actors Theater of Louisville, Center Stage, Yale Repertory Theater, The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Hartford Stage, Los Angeles Stage and Film, and Theatre De La Jeune Lune.

Along with theater, Wright also appeared in feature films. He costarred in the feature films Barbershop, Barbershop 2: Back in Business, Passion Fish, City of Hope, Matewan, The Brother from Another Planet, Sunshine State, and Honeydripper. In 2000, Wright won the Best Actor Award at the Santa Monica Film Festival for his role in the indie film Dumbarton Bridge. He has also appeared in roles on television, recently guest-starring in an episode of the police-procedural show Criminal Minds. In his personal life, Wright is married to a woman named Leigh Johnson and has two children with her, a son named Eamon and a daughter named Rae.
