The Smith & Wesson Model 28 is a revolver made by Smith & Wesson.
History[]
The Model 28 is essentially a downgraded version of the original Smith & Wesson Model 27. First produced in 1954, the Model 28 was first used by Law Enforcement, giving it the name The Highway Patrolman. It became popular due to this and civilian use, as well as the fact that it was made by removing features from a Model 27 (which reduced costs and allowed faster production). It ceased production in 1986.
