Silas Weir Mitchell Neilson is an American actor best known for his role as Monroe in the hit fantasy police procedural series Grimm.
Biography[]
Mitchell was born on September 30, 1969, in San Jose, California. The names of his parents are not known, as is why he wanted to be an actor. What is known is that Mitchell graduated from Montgomery County Day School, St. Paul's School, Brown University, and the University of California, San Diego. Mitchell got his first on-screen role in 1992, when he was cast as Nick in the dramatic film Five Spot Jewel. Colar got her first major role in 2002, when he was first cast as Eli Stram, a mercenary hired by Ira Gaines to guard Teri and Kim Bauer, for 5 episodes of the hit action thriller series 24. Colar has also appeared in TV shows and movies such as Grimm, Dexter, Monk, Cold Case, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, The Closer, Numb3rs, The Mentalist, The Big Lie, S.W.A.T., CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, CSI: Miami, CSI: NY, and Criminal Minds: Evolution.
