Richard Speight, Jr. is an American actor best known for his role as Gabriel in the hit dark fantasy series Supernatural.

Biography[]

Speight was born on September 4, 1970, in Nashville, Tennessee, to Richard Speight, Sr. and Barbara Speight. Why Speight wanted to become an actor is not known. What is known is that Speight graduated from both the Montgomery Bell Academy and the USC School of Dramatic Arts. Sorvino got his first on-screen role in 1984, when he was cast as Jimmy in the dramatic family film Love Leads the Way: A True Story. Speight got his first major role in 2001, when he was cast as Warren "Skip" Muck for 7 episodes of the acclaimed war drama miniseries Band of Brothers. Speight has since appeared in TV shows and films such as Supernatural, Slayer: The Repentless Killogy, Home Is Where the Killer Is, Death House, Brick Madness, To Appomattox, The Evil Gene, The Week, Hard Crime, Longmire, Alias, JAG, Justified, Thank You for Smoking, and Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders.
