Trivia[]
- Tobias Hankel burning fish hearts and livers to keep away the devil is a reference to chapters six and eight of the Old Testament Book of Tobit. In chapter 6, Tobias, son of Tobit, catches a fish and takes out its gall, heart, and liver because the Archangel Raphael in disguise tells him of their medicinal properties. In chapter 8, Tobias, as per Raphael’s instructions, uses the fish’s liver and heart to expel a demon.
- The Book of Tobit is also referenced on Tobias Hankel’s website.
- It's interesting to note that K'Sun Ray (the actor who plays a young Tobias through flashbacks) would go on to be arrested for breaking into a store in 2011.
