The Remington Model M40A1 is a sniper rifle designed by Remington Arms.
History[]
The M40A1 is a variant in Remington's 740 line of rifles (which in turn were based on the Model 700 rifle). The M40A1s were made around 1970 by the U.S. Marine Corps' armorers, who refashioned M40s into weapons for their own use.
