Peter Jerrod Macon is an actor and voice actor best known for his role as Lieutenant Commander Bortus in the science-fiction adventure comedy series The Orville.
Biography[]
Little is known about Macon's past, including his birthday, where he was born, where he grew up, and why he wanted to become an actor. What is known is that Macon was born to Rudolph and Aleta Macon and attended both the Yale School of Drama and the San Francisco Art Institute. Macon got his first on-screen role in 1994, when he was cast as Mike in the independent gay-themed romantic comedy-drama film World and Time Enough. Macon got his first major role in 2017, when he was first cast as Bortus, a Moclan Second Officer and Lieutenant Commander aboard the USS Orville, for all 37 episodes of the science-fiction adventure comedy series The Orville. Macon has also appeared in TV show, movies, and video games such as Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, NCIS, Minority Report, Turok: Son of Stone, SEAL Team, The Secrets of Emily Blair, How to Get Away with Murder, Ashes, Supernatural, Dexter, The Shield, Shameless, My America, Anthem, Bosch, and Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders.
