Full Summary[]

In Baltimore, two men are leaving a bar, when a blonde is stopped by a cop.  There is an interaction, where it’s obvious that he knows him, but he plays it off, saying that he was pinched by him a few years ago.  The other man is suspicious but lets it go.  He drops the other guy, Freddy, off.  Later, a woman is walking up the street to the house, angrily.  It’s late and the owner is playing music loudly.  She goes to open the door and there is blood on the door. Then the other man comes running out and knocks the woman down.  She screams or help.

In the morning, the house is surrounded by uniforms.  There are two murders.  There is blood everywhere.  Massive overkill with the man and one cut on the woman ear to ear.  Gideon notes that there’s too much blood or just two victims, and that a third body was dismembered in the tub.  While the team talks about how it was either a professional or a true psychopath, the first man calls someone, freaking out about the murder.

Later that night, someone is going through the trash and finds the head.  It’s Freddy.  The following morning, a man and his team show up, saying that he’s in organized crime and they’re taking over the case.  When Gideon goes back to the room, he keeps working the case, regardless.

Morgan and Hotchner go to a junkyard to visit Freddy’s place of employment, and start to press the owner.  He tells them to get their papers and bracelets, but in the mean time leave him alone.  Back at the office, Elle is with Reid and Garcia where they find out the rap sheet of another man who associated with Freddy seems improbable.  James Baker. When they pull up his picture they see that he looks like the sketch, so they send Morgan and Hotchner to check it out. They are confused, as it seems like he doesn’t actually live there.

On the street, James is waiting  for someone, and is getting nervous.  But when the van shows up with the guy from organized crime who told the team to back off the case, he’s gone.

Back at the house, Morgan is tapping on the walls and finds a weapon hidden behind the stove.  It’s law enforcement issued.  They realize he’s an undercover cop.  Back at the office, the team and the organized crime division talk about Jimmy, and discuss that they need to find him.

Meanwhile, Jimmy is being tortured by the hitman.

Morgan visits Freddy’s boss again and points out that the hitman is drawing a lot of heat to them, knowing that he’ll break and call him.  When he does, the team is listening.  He tells him to come to the office.

Back in the room, the hitman informs Jimmy that nature is his cleanup crew.  He cleans up the tools and Jimmy’s extracted teeth, before dragging a knife along his arm, saying ‘they like the scent of blood.’

At the junkyard, Hotchner is jumped by the hitman, but is cornered by agents and the team. They take him alive. They aim to make him uncomfortable  for the interview. But during it, the man from organized crime bursts in and demands to know where Jimmy is.

In Garcia’s office, she and Reid watch the tapes from the hitman’s car.  It’s videos of his kills.  And the people are being tortured with rats coming in and eating them.

After more interviewing, they find a home listed under his father’s name and Baker in the basement.  He’s alive but unconscious.

While that’s happening, Hotchner talks to the hitman, but something resonates with him in the way that he says ‘some of them grow up to be killers and some grow up to be the ones that catch them,’ hinting that maybe Hotchner has a darker past than we know of.
