Russell Martin Thompson (credited as Martin Thompson) is an American actor.


Thompson was born in Charlottesville, Virginia, though he only lived there for six weeks before the family had to move because of his father's service in the U.S. Navy. His mother was a Peabody-trained lyric soprano, who was born in a family of singers and musicians. Thompson grew up in California, Florida, and North Carolina, before returning to Virginia to continue his education at high school. He later enrolled at East Carolina University, where he graduated with a BA in Theatre. Thompson then studied for two years at HB Studios in New York. In his personal life, he has two children, a son named Steven and a daughter named Kathleen.

Thompson portrayed Aldor Harris, a businessman and the father of Anton and Dana Harris, in the Season Nine episode "To Bear Witness".
