The Makarov PM is a Soviet semi-automatic pistol.
History[]
The Makarov was developed in 1948, shortly after the start of World War II. A contest was held to determine what type of weapon the Soviets should weld in combat. A pistol designed by Nikolay Makarov ultimately won and his pistol, the Makarov PM, was made the USSR's standard issued sidearm. Though Makarovs have lost popularity in recent years and have been produced by various manufacturers.
