Notes[]
- The episode appears to be partly inspired by the Canadian horror film Cube. In it, a group of strangers are all trapped inside a deadly cube-shaped maze they're all connected to. They're all supposed to escape, avoiding being murdered by various traps in the changing maze, without only one captive coming out escaping alive.
- It's interesting to note that both Matthew Gray Gubler (who plays Reid) and the late Jack Donner (who plays a homeless man murdered in the episode) would later go on to star in the 2008 film How to be a Serial Killer (which appeared to have been a basis for another episode).
