Janie Haddad Tompkins (born Anna Janie Haddad) is an American actress and voice actress best known for her role as Margaret Smith in the animated sitcom series Regular Show.

Biography

Tompkins was born Anna Janie Haddad on October 28, 1972, in Charleston, West Virginia. Little else is known about Tompkins' past, including his the names of her parents and why he wanted to be an actor. What is known is that Tompkins graduated from Southern Methodist University. Tompkins got her first on-screen role in 2005, when she was cast in an uncredited role as a woman at a mattress store for one episode of the dramatic comedy series Desperate Housewives. Tompkins got her first major recurring role in 2010, when she first provided THE voice for waitress and initial love interest Margaret Smith, among multiple different characters, for 61 episodes of the animated sitcom series Regular Show. Tompkins has also appeared in TV shows and movies such as Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Between Two Ferns: The Movie, Bajillion Dollar Propertie$, Dan Vs., Harry's Law, Drones, Comedy Bang! Bang!, American Dad!, Some Guy Who Kills People, Regular Show: The Movie, Hickey, Unicorn Store, Monk, Garfunkel and Oates, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and Criminal Minds.

Tompkins portrayed a whistle-blowing prostitute in the Season Two episode "Sex, Birth, Death".
