Fully extended Heckler & Koch G36C

The Heckler & Koch G36C ("C" for compact) is an assault rifle made by Heckler & Koch.

History[]

The G36C is a variant of HK's original G36 was first produced in January 2001. The G36C is a further development of the G36K, another variant of the original weapon, which was first developed in the 1990s. Its compact size makes it ideal for use in confined spaces and can even be fired with its buttstock folded. Since the installation of an HK G36 magazine conversion magazine well, the G36C can use magazines available for the AR, M16 and M4 rifles. Like all G36 variants, the G36C uses a barrel produced by Heckler & Koch’s trademark cold hammer forging process, improving reliability, service life, and user safety during extreme extended firing sessions.
