Jorge Antonio Perez is an American actor and producer.

Biography[]

Perez was one of nine children born to a family of immigrants who moved to the U.S. in 1973, settling in South Central Los Angeles. The family lived in a one-bedroom apartment in a rough part of town. Perez showed a passion for acting at a young age, often entertaining his father by imitating his siblings. Perez's father died in 1980, leaving his mother to struggle raising their children.

Perez continued acting and even dancing, eventually finding his way to High School of Performing Arts where he trained in Ballet and Modern Jazz. Perez starred in a music video by Kenny Ortega. Perez, who was only 15 at this point, later attended the Vincent Chase Acting Workshop for a number of years before attending the Janet Alhanti Meisner program. His acting career officially started in 1990.

On Criminal Minds[]

Perez portrayed Miguel Trejo, a homosexual man briefly suspected of murdering his mother, in the Season One episode "Machismo".
