Geoffrey Bond Lewis was an American actor best known for his role as Willis P. Dunleevy in the action series Land's End.

Biography[]

Lewis was born on July 31, 1935, in Plainfield, New Jersey. The names of his parents are not known, as is why he wanted to be an actor. What is known is that Lewis grew up in Wrightwood, California, and studied at the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre. Lewis got his first on-screen role in 1963, when he was cast in an uncredited role as a man at the park in the horror-crime film The Fat Black Pussycat. Lewis got his first major role in 1980, when he was cast as Earl Tucker, a chauvinistic bartender that works at Flo's Yellow Rose, for all 29 episodes of the comedic sitcom series Flo. Lewis has also appeared in TV shows and movies such as Land's End, Blue Thunder, Falcon Crest, Maximum Security, Lust in the Dust, Designing Women, An Occasional Hell, Sunstorm, The X-Files, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, In the Heat of the Night, Wishman, Out of the Dark, The Guardian, Cold Case, and Criminal Minds.

On April 7, 2015, in Woodland Hills, California, at 79 years of age, Lewis passed away following a heart attack.
