The Mossberg 500 is a pump action shotgun model designed by O.F. Mossberg & Sons (often shortened to Mossberg).
History[]
Mossberg began producing 500s in the U.S. in 1960. It is based on a concept made by Carl Benson. The 500s have been used in several wars throughout history and are used in 74 countries. Not much else is known about its history. Several other models have been produced since the 500's debut.
