The Smith & Wesson Model 10 is a revolver produced by Smith & Wesson.
History[]
First produced in 1899, the Model 10 is one of S&W's oldest and most iconic weapons. They were initially designed at the orders of both the Army and the Navy. Quickly becoming popular with both law enforcement and military, the Model 10 was continuously renamed and upgraded with differing cartridges. They were used in both World Wars and have continued to be used by both military and police agencies all over the world.
The Model 10 was renamed several times, with names including:
- Smith & Wesson .38 Hand Ejector Model of 1899
- Smith & Wesson .38 Military and Police (M&P)
- Smith & Wesson Victory Model
The Model 64 is based on the Model 10.
