Edward Andrew Yoon Beom "Eddie" Shin is an Korean-American actor and voice actor best known for his role as Dave Mendoza in the teenage sitcom series Alexa & Katie.

Biography[]

Shin was born on July 17, 1976, in Chicago, Illinois. The name of Shin's parents are not known, as is why he wanted to become an actor. What is known is that Shin attended the Loyola Academy, Williams College, and the University of Chicago. Shin got his first on-screen role in 2001, when he was cast in an unknown role in the musical film Flipping the Whale. Shin got his first major role a year later, when he was cast as Roger Park, a used-car dealer and the best friend of series protagonist Corey Howard, for all 13 episodes of the sitcom series That '80s Show. Shin has since appeared in TV shows and films such as NCIS, Drunk History, Alexa & Katie, S.W.A.T., Peppermint, Call of Duty: Black Ops III, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, Manhattan, Agent Carter, The Man in the High Castle, Westworld, Training Day, NCIS: Los Angeles, Robot Chicken, and Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders.

Shin portrayed Geonwoo Lee, a businessman that was a suspect in multiple murders, in the Season Two episode "Pretty Like Me".
