Nothing is known about Bennett before he started acting, beginning in 1993 and later took up work as a director, writer, and producer in 2000.

Bennett portrayed Daniel Whitaker, the abusive father and first victim of serial killer Chase Whitaker, in the Season Seven episode "Epilogue".
