Dana Howe was an accomplice of Jade Waters and an unclassified killer who appeared in the Evolution episode "Stars & Stripes".
Background[]
Little is revealed about Dana's past. She's one of five kids in the Gold Star program at Stuart House, where she was physically and sexually brutalized to torture the profile of a killer to her. The crimes were directed by Frank Church, a private mercenary contractor hoping to develop an army of "soldiers" through kidnapped children, the Gold Stars being idols for the other victims at his barracks. Church lied to the five kids he "saved" them from the very violence and abuse he put them through, brainwashing with conspiracy theories to make them impressionable. To tie up loose ends, he ordered the Gold Stars to kill all his accomplices, telling them they worked for his opponents. Dana was kept from any direct action herself until one of the leading Gold Stars, Jade Waters, needed her.
Stars & Stripes[]
When Jade was to be arrested by State Trooper Martin Sanz, Dana shot and wounded him. Dana assisted in restraining him while Jade gouged out his eyes, leaving him alive to send a message to the FBI. Jade then took Dana to a storm shelter Elias Voit led her to so as to manipulate them against the FBI. Dana was distrustful at first, but she believed Voit once seeing the fake diorama he made, telling Jade she trusted her and they needed to return to the barracks. They wired the shelter with bombs. And when police tracked the location, three state troopers were killed once they opened the hatch. Jade and Dana saw Church again, though after he congratulated them both, he isolated Dana and shot her in the back of her head with a silenced pistol, killing her. Her remains were recovered once the barracks were raided by the BAU.
Modus Operandi[]
Dana targeted state troopers and worked in consort with Jade Waters as her accomplice, providing additional tactics to have her back. Dana shot State Trooper Martin Sanz to incapacitated him to free Jade and mutilate Sanz. They then rigged the storm shelter with IEDs to kill whoever entered, which murdered three more state troopers. They then retreated to the barracks to evade law enforcement.
