Corey Reynolds is an American actor and singer best known for his role as Detective David Gabriel in the police procedural show The Closer.

Biography[]

Reynolds was born on July 3, 1974, in Richmond, Virginia. Little is known about Reynolds' past, including the names of his parents and why he wanted to be an actor. What is known is that Reynolds went to Monacan High School before moving to California to pursue acting and he performed in various shows for Paramount Kings Dominion. Reynolds got his first on-screen role in 1999, when he was cast as Number 1 in the comedic short film Magic Gum. Reynolds got his first major role in 2002, when he was cast as Seaweed J. Stubbs in the hit Broadway musical Hairspray. Since then, Reynolds has appeared in TV shows and movies such as Straight Outta Compton, Selma, Delirium, NCIS, Murder in the First, Castle, Chicago P.D., The Closer, and Criminal Minds.

Reynolds portrayed Phil Brooks, the former partner of Luke Alvez who was crippled in the hunt for the Crimson King, in the Season Thirteen episode "Dust and Bones" and Season Fourteen episode "Luke".
