Christopher Stafford is a rapist and accomplice of Adam Richmond and Trevor Burkett. He appears in the Season Nine episode "What Happens in Mecklinburg".
Background[]
Little is known about Stafford, other than he attended Mecklinburg State University and was a member of the Beta Sigma Delta fraternity. He also seemed to know Adam Richmond and Trevor Burkett. On February 16, 2013, the three attended a fraternity party, where they decided to rape a party guest, Lauryn-Anne Harrison. Stafford later claimed that he was reluctant to go along with the attack, but was pressured into doing it. Afterwards, Richmond forced Lauryn-Anne to drink vodka so that she could be discredited for being drunk once she reported the rape. The three then dumped her in front of her home, where she was eventually discovered by her sister Sheila. Lauryn-Anne later fell into a coma as a result of the attack, but Michael Smith, who coached Richmond and Burkett on the college football team, covered up the details of her assault with the help of Edward Calder.
What Happens in Mecklinburg[]
On April 9, 2014, over one year after the attack, Richmond and Burkett were both abducted by a vengeful Sheila. After tracing the connection between Lauryn-Anne and the crimes, the BAU interrogate Stafford. Upon realizing the fate of the other perpetrators, he opens up to Alex Blake and JJ about the details of Lauryn-Anne's attack and insists it wasn't his idea, telling them of his reluctance in doing so, though the two are still angry with him. Stafford was most likely incarcerated afterwards due to his role in Lauryn-Anne's death, following the arrests of both Sheila and Richmond by the BAU.
Modus Operandi[]
Because Stafford raped only one person, the term "M.O." may be somewhat misused. When he attacked Lauryn-Anne Harrison, he raped her alongside Richmond and Burkett.

No profile of Stafford was made by the BAU, since they were more focused on Sheila.
