When Carlos was 13 years old, his father and stepmother, Emilio and Barbara Garcia were killed in a drunk driving accident caused by Jesse Wilson.
Season Thirteen[]
Carlos appeared in the episode "All You Can Eat", urging Penelope to give a victim impact statement in his place at Jesse Wilson's parole hearing, as he did not feel he could handle it. He is upset when Wilson is granted parole after Garcia makes her statement of forgiveness for Wilson for the tragedy he had caused and subsequently severs ties with Penelope, devastating her.
Season Fourteen[]
Carlos reappeared after being called in by Prentiss and Rossi to help Garcia with the aftermath of her abduction as well as repair her relationship with him. ("Innocence")
