Trivia[]
- Tobin Bell, the actor who portrays Malachi Lee, had previously portrayed real-life serial bomber Theodore Kaczynski in the 1996 made-for-TV film Unabomber: The True Story. Additionally, the episode pays tribute to the notorious horror/slasher genres, even with alumnus cast like Bell, who most notoriously portrays John Kramer, a.k.a. "The Jigsaw Killer", in Saw, and Bill Oberst, Jr., who's had an extensive history of roles in horror and movies with cult followings.
- The eventually revealed central plotline of a brother and sister having an incestuous affair heavily alludes to the successful play Fools for Love. However, in the episode, the siblings only end up in different families after they break off the affair.
- The uncredited David St. Pierre did stunt work for this episode, as well as the Season Four episode "Brothers in Arms" (and also played the episode's unsub), Season Seven episodes "Epilogue" and "Heathridge Manor", and the Season Nine episode "In The Blood".
Notes[]
- A poster for the arcade and video game, Gods of Combat, which served as the inspiration for a team of abductors' crimes in the Season Eight episode "The Wheels on the Bus", can be seen in the episode. The poster can also be seen in the Season Nine episode "Strange Fruit".
