On Criminal Minds[]
- Season Five
- "Parasite" - Madoff was named in this episode when discussing embezzlement schemes.
- Season Six
- "25 to Life" - While not directly mentioned or referenced in the episode, Madoff appears to be an inspiration for the episode's unsub, James Stanworth - Both are highly influential businessmen whose reckless business practices affected thousands of people, which drove a countless number of them to suicide. Stanworth's killings of a family during a home invasion are also similar to how Madoff's son committed suicide because of his crimes.
